A Day at the Zoo

We went to the World Wildlife Zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was super fun, a little hot though.We fed the Lori's and went to the petting zoo. For some reason these birds loved Keith and I got a picture of him covered in birds but it's on the Ipod so I'll have to show it later.

This was on the train, they also have a log ride that Raegan and I went on, but Keith couldn't get close enough to get a good pic.
Giraffe tongues are gross.
The Aquarium was awesome and a nice cool reprieve from walking around looking at the land animals. You can't really tell, but there is a penguin swimming behind the kiddos. I will say we saw some things in here that looked like they came out of a horror movie. I don't like the ocean anymore.
Certain things make Caleb do this face and the train ride was one of them.

Independence Day

We had a pretty great 4th. It was kinda last minute, but that's usually how we do things and it turned out pretty awesome. The kids had fun playing at Sunset Park while we were waiting for the fireworks to start and Raegan got a glowing wand which made the evening pretty spectacular what with all the magic that was being performed. Caleb was a little tired, but he was making the most of it, though he slept through the whole firework show and woke up as we were getting ready to leave. The only bummer was the fireworks were cut short due to wind and rain conditions, but when you have little kids stuff like that is usually a blessing in disguise. The next day Keith only had to work for a few hours and so we went out and enjoyed a little of our desert. We went to Box Canyon and enjoyed what little water it had to offer and then headed out to Congress to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. It was really fun.

Riggs Lake

We went to Thatcher to visit family and work on getting Keith set up for school and while we were there we got to go to Riggs Lake. Raegan had a great time. She got to play in the water and she held a fish that Uncle Matt caught. It didn't seem to bother her a bit. The only problem we had with her was she kept trying to steal this old mans kayak. She couldn't understand how that boat wasn't left there for her.

I know I don't have a picture of him, but Caleb was there. He just wasn't too impressed by anything so we didn't

capture any winning moments.

THE DENTIST

I thought I would share our experience at the dentist with everyone. It was Raegan's first appointment and she did really well. You could tell she was a little nervous, but she handled it like a champ. Luckily she didn't have any cavities, I was really glad too because I wanted her first experience to be good. I on the other hand wasn't so lucky, but I won't get into that. Keith made it through his appointment with flying colors as well, which to me is unfortunate. It's a bitter sweet feeling.

I hope everyone had a happy Easter. Here's how ours went.

First the easter bunny left us a bunch of goodies, but mom and dad had to wait till 8:30 because the kids wouldn't wake up.

Then it was off to church!!!

After church and a sugar induced coma we went out to Grandmas to have a yummy ham dinner and hunt for easter eggs.

Everyone had a great time. Aunt Bri and Grandpa had fun decorating the eggs, Keith and Uncle Jay had fun shooting Keiths new gun and I had fun eating dinner. heh heh

What the POOP!!!

Funny little thing happened to me last Saturday. Keith was gone, went to Safford with his dad, and I was on my way home from Congress with the kids. We were almost to our apartment when Raegan said she had to go potty. I told her we were almost home and that she would have to hold it. By the time I got both kids and all our bags up the stairs I had forgotten all about Raegans " condition". Twenty minutes later she mentioned it again and so I ran her to the bathroom only to find that she had already peed her pants. No big deal, I just undressed her and put her in the tub. Then I happened to glance down the hall and see something dark on the floor. I walked over to the log shaped dark spot and yep... POOP was on my floor, I thought, well that's gross and then my heart stop because I remembered Caleb was in the living room on the floor. The whole way into the living room I was praying that he hadn't found anymore of Raegans little treasures and when I turned the corner and looked sure enough he was eating poop pellets. I didn't know what to do so I just jumped up and down shrieking for a few seconds and then instinctively stuck my finger in his mouth and scraped it out. So now he had poop smeared in his mouth and I had it all over my finger. I washed my hands, stuck him in the tub, and got a washcloth with baby toothpaste on it and scrubbed the inside of his mouth. The washcloth came out clean, I think we all know what that means.....Finally I had both kids out of the tub, I got Caleb in pj's and put him to bed while Raegan waited in the living room. When I got back to get her ready for bed she had peed on the floor again... What I can't figure out is how the poop got on the floor when she was wearing pants and how did I miss it. I'm beginning to understand why people medicate themselves.

This is one of our first pictures taken with our new I pod. So far they've been kind of grainy, but I thought that this one was still pretty darn cute.

Here is a few pictures of Raegan on her birthday. My sister and I frosted the cake... it's pretty amazing and I'm sure Keith would like me to mention that he used an air compressor to blow up the balloons (he went on and on about it). Raegan got lots of books and Toys and I don't know what her favorite toy was but I can tell you her least favorite things were all the clothes. They were immediately tossed aside. I wasn't too surprised. Don't worry I'll get pictures because the clothes were my favorite things.

Here's all of our Halloween pictures... finally. Caleb won the contest and his prize was oatmeal cream cookies..just what he wanted. Sometimes it pays to have a fat baby.

All of the costumes were awesome. I was super impressed by all of them. For those of you who weren't there, my sister in law Rhianna and her husband Matt were underneath the yup yup costume, which they actually made.. super cool...

Keith and I were Mr. and Mrs. Brady and Raegan was a china doll and Caleb was a Sumo wrestler. Thanks Troy and Whit for throwing an awesome party and hopefully next year I'll get the time right for the trunk or treat. Oh, and now you know why Keith felt so irresistible in his costume.

Just a couple of things to update. Calebs first tooth is coming in. Surprisingly I haven't noticed him being anymore grumpy than usual. Although he did fall off the bed the other day so maybe I haven't been able to decipher between the bump on the head grumpy and cutting a new tooth grumpy. And no I don't want to talk about Caleb falling off the bed.
The other thing is I made bread for the first time today and it looks really pretty, I hope it tastes good too.
Oh, and I am making the sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving again, so sorry everyone.

Silly Kids

When Raegan gets an oweee, I kiss it and it instantly feels better. I'm amazing that way. Anyway, I must have passed my healing powers onto my daughter because she was jumping on the bottom side of the laundry basket, fell off, and stepped on the sharp outer corner, sat down and kissed the bottom of her foot and was immediately fine. It was so cute, but I kind of feel like I've of lost my motherly comfort thingy. All I have left is being the food provider... thank goodness that will last a while.

On a second note, Today was Raegans first day taking a nap in her toddler bed! She cried about it for a few minutes and then she was out. Of course I didn't put her down until 2:00 so I'm sure that helped, but the surprising thing was that she didn't even try once to get out of it.

On a third note, Caleb slept from 11:00 to 3:00. It was so weird, because during the day he is kind of a cat napper, but today was like 4 hours in a row. I kept checking on him to make sure he was alright and that he was still breathing and all was fine. Then when he finally got up I left him with grandpa for a few minute while I picked up some leather work and when I got back grandpa pointed out that Caleb had a hint of a black eye. So, I don't know if he did that in the crib or afterwords while I was gone, or if it had been there for a while and I just didn't notice it, but it was kind of a shock. He's only 4 and a half months old, he can't even really get anywhere yet. How in the world did he get a black eye? I think I'll blame it on grandpa, that way I don't feel like such a terrible mother.

The other night I made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and Seth kept asking me for some of the batter, after the fact that he already stole some, but I didn't have very much so I told him to just wait for the cookies. I don't know if that blew a fuse in his brain or what but the next morning I made him pancakes and when I wasn't looking he stuck his finger in the runny batter and slurped it up!!! What the heck?!! Cookie batter I can totally get on board with, but pancake batter kind gets my gag reflex going.

Ok, tomorrow I have visiting teaching at 9:30, then I'm taking my kids to a reading group thing at the library at 10:30. At 4:00 I have craft day at church that I'm demonstrating at.... Then Saturday I'M OUT OF HERE. I get the whole day off from my kids and husband!! I think I'll go look at some garage sales first, then I'll probably head to Phoenix or Prescott and go see a movie or something. Just me and my sister. No car seats, no diapers, nobody to feed. It's going to be great, and kinda weird. Don't worry I love my family, but they're a lot of work and I'm going to enjoy being gone. Sorry hubby...

Ok, My husband dressed up for work today, and I can't show a picture yet because we're having a contest for Halloween, but I just want to say everyone is in for a treat. I also want to mention that his whole personality changes when he puts his costume on. He thinks he's irresistible. I also want to mention that he wanted to sleep in it last night, kinda like a little boy that wants to sleep in his superman cape, but you have to explain to him that you don't sleep in capes because they could choke you, instead I had to say, you can't sleep in your outfit because your wife won't sleep next to you. Not much to report. I got to referee an eighth grade volleyball game the other day. I was really nervous, but it turned out not to be that big of a deal. It was one of those games where you were really excited if the ball actually got over the net, so my job wasn't too hard.
My husband has been gone hunting since Thursday, and I am worn out. I had the reffing thing, then the next day I watched a family members kids, which means I had 4 kids under the age of 4, and tomorrow I get to take my kids to church all by myself. It's going to be great. The last time I did that Caleb started freeking out and I ended up leaving Raegan by herself in sacrament meeting. Luckily she found a family to sit by. Just thinking about it makes me super excited for church tomorrow. I don't know if you caught the sarcasm, but that's what I was going for. Oh, and to top everything off, Caleb still doesn't sleep through the night. Ok, that about sums it up. Blogs are so great when you need to vent.

Funny Raegan

Raegan has been really silly lately. This picture doesn't look all that exciting, but the way it happened was quite comical. She decided to lean on the top of the box, but the lid wasn't on tight and she fell through. The funny part though was that it was so deep that she couldn't get back out so she was yelling for help and Keith and I couldn't stop laughing. Then Keith took advantage of the situation and grabbed the camera and just kept telling her that he was coming so she wouldn't burst into tears.

This was just cute. My sister brought over a bunch of costume jewelry and she loved it. I can't wait until her cousin Katelyn comes over. They will have so much fun.

She's been doing this a lot lately. It's actually aggravating because she has already ripped two of the tabs off the bumper, but I thought I would get a picture and maybe I can use it to remind her what not to do.

This was so cute. Earlier today I had Caleb on the floor and Raegan grabbed a book and started reading to him. It was so sweet. I could have died. I love my kids...most of the time.

Right now, both kids are in bed, which is amazingly nice, my husband is gone for the night at a scouting seminar, and I feel like I should take advantage of it somehow, but all I really want to do is grab my book and go to bed. What can I say, I know how to party.

I'm guessing it's because they're too big, but if someone has any input on how to do it I would greatly appreciate it. I did get one to work and I'm not sure why, but it was a little shorter than the others so I think the size is the problem, but let me know if they're is a trick or something.

Ok, both of these things happened the same day, it was pretty eventful. I guess I need to explain Caleb's huge poop. It all started on my Anniversary and got worse because my birthday follows so closely. You see, Keith got me flowers and chocolates for both occasions and the chocolate took it's toll on poor little Caleb. I lost track of how long it had been since he pooped, but I knew when it finally happened it was going to be a doosy and as you can see it was. He was so pleased with himself too, because he had been struggling for so long.
The other picture with Keith is kind of hard to see, but basically we were at a drive up window getting some fast food on our way home and I asked Keith to reach behind him, between the seat and the door, to get the sippy off the floor, it was impressive or would have been if he hadn't got his arm stuck. It was so stuck that I had the time to grab the camera and if you know Keith you know that he would not have let me get any evidence of his foolishness had he not been really stuck. It was great.

Catching Up

We finally got Internet on out computer today and I'm hoping to find more time to blog. There is much to catch up on, like my kids, and....ok, I guess there isn't a ton going on. I did have some minor surgery a few weeks ago and it went well. Also, I threw my first bridal shower a few weeks ago too and I think it turned out pretty good although parties aren't really my thing so I can't be sure. We got Keith's last sister married off which was a huge accomplishment, just kidding, none of his sisters lasted long after they went to college, they're all so tall and beautiful. If I wasn't related to them I probably wouldn't like them very much.
On a more depressing note.... I've been eating non stop, I think I've tripled my weight since Caleb was born. On a more positive note it's making me think about exercising and that's a start right?!!!

Still no pictures. I'm waiting for my brother Jay to work out the kinks with my media stuff. I can't download pic's, listen to cd's, or watch movies on my puter, but hopefully soon. He's down in Texas with my mom and my sister right now. Our Aunt Elayne past away and they are attending the funeral. That leaves my father at home taking care of everything including the animals. I'm a little worried because he has already admitted to forgetting to feed the fish and leaving the water on the plants all night, but other than that I think it's going as well as can be expected.

Raegan is as cute as ever. She has started getting a flippant personality. The other day I was sitting on the couch with my feet up and she crawled over stood herself up and bit me on the toe really hard. She has also started to throw fits. She was upset because we were getting ready to put her to bed and so I decided to read a book with her and when I handed her the book she grabbed it and threw it across the room. Ok, Keith and I just got a new operating system because our computer got a virus and I haven't figured out how to do the picture thing yet, but as soon as I do I will have some great pics of Raegan from our trip for everyone.
She had so much fun in Utah with all of her cousins, and I think she misses it because now she doesn't want to be put down. Kind of annoying, but at the same time I love it.

We had a really fun 4th. First we went bowling with my sister and keiths sisters, then ate out at Applebees, then went to Litchfield Park and watched fireworks.
Raegan was getting tired by the time the fireworks came around, but when the grand finale started it was like she had the "deer in the headlights" look. She couldn't take her eyes off them. It was so cute.

P.S. I didn't do too bad at bowling. I never broke 100, but at least I didn't fall down this time.

Ok, I should have really done this in pieces but I'm going to squish everything together. We just moved into a new house that we are renting from Keith's parents. It's really nice. We love it, plus they are giving us a great deal on rent so, win win.

Raegan has started eating solids and loving it. We ruined about three onsies before I realized it would be a good idea to just strip her down to eat. Things you just have to learn as you go I guess.

Right now Raegan seems to be doing everything at once. She has become super loud and chatty and she is on to move, not so much crawling as rolling and scooting. So far she hasn't fallen off anything, but there has been some close calls.
She just had her six month shots which went much better because we had a bottle ready and waiting, the only concern is that she was pretty under weight. My milk has kind of stopped and so she's wasn't getting enough or something so we're doing the bottle thing.

Keith just got promoted at work with a 5 dollar raise so we're stoked about that and I have a pretty regular flow of leather work coming my way so it's been nice. I love being able to work from home.

Hey everyone,
Just a quick update. Raegan got her 4 month shots and a cold all around the same time, but she's been relatively happy considering. She's 13 lb., 12 oz. and 24 and a half inches long. The doc said she above average in height, but below average in weight for how tall she is. If she was fussy all the time I would be worried, but she's not and it's not like I'm withholding food or anything, so I'm not too worried.
Keith is still at Rosewood and doing tile jobs on the side. He's been so busy, sometimes I feel like I don't have a husband anymore because I don't see him much.
I'm working the front desk at a women's spa called Health Nut on Saturdays and doing leather work during the week at home. Keith finished my tooling table and it works great!
So things have finally started going good for us, I was starting to wonder a little bit, but we're doing really good now. I have never really worried about having to find a job, it seemed like there was always one available, and I had kind of taken it for granted, but the economy being as it is right now really opened my eyes. I'm extremely grateful that Keith and I have been so blessed to have work. All I can say is keep paying your tithing!

Raegan's blessing

So .... We had Raegan's blessing last Sunday. Wow, was it stressful. I didn't time the feedings properly and she was super grumpy right before we brought her up, but luckily she did really good through the actual blessing part. I was pretty much holding my breath. Next time we're blessing our babies much earlier, when they're not awake very much.
She looked so adorable though. Mom made her blessing dress and it was soooo cute. Pictures will be coming soon for all to see!!!

Well I did the cleanse and it worked great!!! I passed 12 stones. I have to continue cleansing until I'm stone free, but I will feel better and better as time goes on. I think everyone should do this cleanse!

Sick and Tired

I just thought I would mention that I'm having the worst time of it. My Gallbladder has stones in it and it's giving me a lot of pain. I had a bad attack the other night and since then everytime I eat it hurts. I haven't eaten anything with fat in it and it's still giving me problems. I've been having to take the vicoden the doctor prescribe because of the pain, but the vicoden makes me really sleepy so it's been kind of rough with the baby. I feel like I'm not producing enough milk because eating hurts. I've been drinking quite a bit so I think shes getting enough. Now I'm working on doing a flush which is supposed to get rid of all the stones in your gallbladder and liver. So we're crossing our fingers. If this flush works I won't have to get my gallbladder removed. Ok I'm done complaining

Raegan just had her 2 month check up. She got her first shots and mom had to hide in the corner while dad and the nurse held her down. 5 shots! I couldn't believe it. It was so sad. She looked at me like I had betrayed her and I felt like I had.
Raegan is now 24 and a half inches long and she weighs 11 lbs 12 oz. and is getting chubbier by the minute!

I'm sorry Keith and I are so lame. We're not very good at this blog thing and probably never will be so now that you know you won't be disappointed. I'm guessing there is no shock on any ones faces hearing that.
There's not much to report except that we got some family photos taken and will be posting them in the next few days. My brother in law is a photographer in Safford and we're making a trip up there on Monday and will have some good photos of our beautiful baby for everyone to see.
It's a possibility that Keith and I might be moving to Safford depending on the job situation so we'll let everyone know what happens. Safford is about 4 hours Southeast of Wickenburg so that's kind of a bummer, but there is a college there and hopefully good jobs.
Raegan is doing great, she is getting pretty chubby, but I'm not surprised because now that momma is feeling good she is eating everything in sight. I'm going to have to get pregnant again just to keep the weight off. ha ha That was totally a joke, it hasn't been long enough for me to forget how miserable I was for nine months.

Well, it finally happened! We updated our blog. Oh....and we had a baby. Raegan Kathleen was born on Thurs. Dec. 4th, at 9:23 am. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. and was 21 in. long. Kaelie started having contractions Monday afternoon. They were painful but not overwhelming until Thursday morning at about 3 o'clock. We left for the hospital at about 5. It's a good thing that Kirsten (Kaelie's sister-in-law) was there, cause I was gonna wait a while longer before leaving and we probably would not have made it. We got to the hospital at six, and a little over three hours later there she was. Kaelie is a little sore but she's moving well and recovering quickly.

Well, I know it's shocking, but were posting more on our blog. We went on a hike with the dogs today and it was great. Lots of bugs though. Keith thought it would be a good idea to get a belly shot for all those who are far away. One more month and I'll have my body back. I'm so excited. Oh and I'm excited to have a baby too.
Just to update everyone on the baby, shes doing great. Her heads down, good heartbeat, and apparently she has long legs. Big surprise.
The doctor says I'm a textbook pregnancy, 34 cm at 34 weeks. He also said we don't have a moose baby, whatever that means. I'm guessing her head isn't huge.
Keith is still working for his uncle and I got a job at the congress school as an aide until the baby is born. It's been really good for me because it keeps my mind off of being sick and I'm walking a lot and that makes me feel better too.

Another month gone by and it doesn't really look like much has change. At my last doctors visit I had lost another 4 lbs. which makes a total of 21 lbs. so far. My doctor doesn't seem concerned and everything is fine with the baby, but I'm not really suppose to lose anymore weight so he told me I need to be "grazing", which i thought was funny, but he said i should eat about 6 times a day. It's been pretty difficult to do because I've been sick and have lost my appetite. The medication I've been taking is helping some, so I'm slowly eating more and more.

On another note, I've quit my job at the saddle shop and so far I'm not sure it was the right thing to have done, but there was a lot of chemicals from dyes and glue going around so I thought it best to get out of there. It wasn't much of a change since I have been too sick to go in anyway, but as soon as I start feeling better I'll be looking for other work.

Keith is still working for his uncle building custom homes. He is also doing work for his dad and trying to get our house finished before the baby gets here. So he's busy busy busy.

although I still haven't felt anything, but she only weighs 12 oz. in this
picture so I'm not surprised. Also, the doctor said my placenta is right in
the front so I might not feel movement right away.

In case everyone hasn't heard
Keith and I our going to have
our first baby. This ultrasound is from our 4 month check up and Keith insisted on getting a side shot, which isn't very flattering. I personally like the flyswatter in the back ground, but that's just me.

At this Doctors appt. we got to see the arm move around and the fingers open up as if to wave at us, it was so neat. Everything was really clear, but every time he took the picture it came out blurry. I guess our little one is just moving to fast.

Hey everyone, welcome to our blog! We posted some pics so all could see our smiling faces.

Here is one from our wedding reception. In case you weren't there, or don't remember me smearing cake all over Keith's face and tux...hehe! Good times.
The next three are from our honeymoon. It was so great, my wonderful husband took me to Paris and Venice. What a guy! I'm so lucky, and I love him so much. (plus he is super handsome... I mean, just look at him. wow)
